Watching Susan work with kids is nothing short of amazing. She creates a bond with them like no other and gets them to act, dance and sing at amazing levels. Susan Calderalo is a diamond in the rough. I watched her single-handedly build a music program from nothing! She went from putting on a school's seasonal showcase in a small school church, to eventually opening the same show, but at a large local theatre venue, with professional sound and lighting. I gotta say, the audience, I included, were floored at how professional these school performances became! But am I shocked? Absolutely not! Susan knows how to deliver. Aside from knowing how to build a show from scratch, Susan has a special way of grasping a child’s attention and making them love performing. I’ve known and have worked beside Susan for 17 years and it’s truly an honor. Not only is she beyond talented but she truly enjoys teaching and makes it her mission to encourage today's youth to express themselves through the wonderful world of the arts!

I am grateful to have gotten to know Susan as a parent of one her former students and a colleague. She is the epitome of what a music teacher should be: professional, patient, enthusiastic and genuine. Her ability to let every child believe that they can sing, dance and act sets her apart from many other teachers.
